Ethiopia: Kolla Bolcha


The 2024 washed Ethiopians promise to be some of the best we've had in years and this beautiful coffee from the famous Kolla Bolcha co-operative in Agaro is a standout!   This coffee comes from a relatively early harvest and has been processed meticulously.  

After machines remove most of the fruit and mucilage from the seeds, the coffee is soaked in tanks where any remaining surface sugars are removed via enzymatic action.  The clean coffee is dried on raised beds for over eight days.

We love this coffee for its stunning floral tea notes and fragrance as well as the surprisingly robust body for such a delicate coffee that reminds us of fresh peach juice.
