Todos Santos is a small town in Huehuetenango, located in one of the highest areas of Guatemala called Cordillera de los Cuchumatanes. It has a unique microclimate, created by warm updrafts from the plains of Tehuantepec mixing with the cooler air descending from the Cuchumatanes Mountains, fostering high quality coffees. In this region it’s common for farms to grow, harvest and process their own coffee, usually 20-30 bags per year. This particular lot comes from Héctor’s farm and is 100% Red Bourbon. Many in the community of Todos Santos, including Héctor, holds to Mayan traditions, from language to clothing, as a part of everyday life.
This coffee is very fruit forward, tasting like nectarines, lime, caramel, and oolong tea. It showcases a different side of Guatemalan coffee while still being clean and approachable. With or without milk, this coffee is spectacular!
