This microlot, consisting of just 350 kilos of total green coffee, comes from Segundo Aurelio Lasso in Las Toldas, Huila. It is a 100% Gesha lot that is fermented in plastic tanks for 12 hours before being dried in solar parabolic trays for 15-25 days. Colombian coffees can be vibrant and expressive at their best, and this lot brings the beautiful florals of the Gesha Varietal to that profile as well. There is layered complexity, pleasant acidity, and sweet fruit. In the past few years, Colombian Geshas have gained traction, dropped in price, and improved in consistency. We’re excited to see this improvement, and are happy to offer such a great example of what this trend has evolved into.
