Located on the Mexico-Guatemala border, their farm is named for the avocado trees planted throughout the plantation, providing shade for the coffee plants. El Aguacatal was founded by Petronilo’s father in 1958 and is now being farmed by its 3rd generation! Petronilo, now 74 years old, has a large family whom also work in the coffee industry. He spends his days walking around the farm to enjoy the sunshine and watch the coffee grow.
Of the Guatemalans we have on offering this season, this might be our favorite! Sweet and fruited, this coffee can be enjoyed on its own but will pair wonderfully with milk!
