Hailing from Guji, coffee processed in the Dida Hora Burka wash station come from small, local farms (usually 1-2 Hectares) that cultivate Arabica varietals native to Ethiopia. As the birthplace of coffee, it’s still common for farmers to grow only local landraces, which contributes to the unique flavor profile of the country’s coffees. Their exporting partner, SNAP, is run by a coffee-passionate entrepreneur, Negusse. SNAP is dedicated to sustainable practices, including investing in waste recycling at its wash stations to educating the farmers they work with on processing and cleaning methods. Dida Hora Burka is beautifully floral and sweet with similar qualities to coffees from Yirgacheffe. It’s best enjoyed without milk.
